The St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Foundation is a tax-exempt 501c3 corporation formed in 1973 by the vestry of St. Luke’s to help perpetuate the physical properties of the parish and to support foreign missions. The foundation has three separate endowment funds that:
A: fund periodic major maintenance repair, capital improvements and restoration of St. Luke’s properties.
B: fund Christian evangelism through missionaries, missions, health services and education opportunities through organizations operating within close association with the Episcopal Church.
C: fund Christian outreach in North Carolina with special emphasis given to programs in the Salisbury-Rowan community.
The Foundations board of directors is elected from members in good standing of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. St. Luke’s Foundation Sunday is held every year on the final Sunday of Epiphany, which is also recognized in the broader church as World Mission Sunday.
